Asian Countries Chamber of Commerce received the first business delegation from Sri Lanka
On July, 2012 the Asian Countries Chamber of Commerce received in Lithuania the first business delegation from Sri Lanka. During the visit, guests actively took interest in the promotion of mutual business relations between Sri Lanka and Lithuania as well as discussed on the issues regarding Lithuanian business environment, potential market and trade opportunities. All members of the business delegation unanimously agreed that today it is a necessity to focus not only on the markets of the nearby countries but also on the foreign enterprises as to exchange valuable experience and discover new business opportunities. Therefore, the expansion of economical and business cooperation between Lithuania and Sri Lanka would ensure a greater supply of goods as well as long – term investments for both countries.
The business delegation was led by the Head of the Eastern Province of Sri Lanka Mr. Mohammed Faiz Hajju Mohammed, accompanied by Mr. Keashikan Thiyagarajah (the Head of the jewelry company), Mr. Mohamed Fazal Mohamed Fulail (counsellor of the Head of the Eastern Province of Sri Lanka, responsible for tourism) and Mr. Mohammed Hizni Shanul Hameed (the Head of textile company).
